
Since 2002, David Scheidemantle has donated his time and services as the attorney for the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Pasadena and is also a founding board member. He has been instrumental in developing a business and legal plan for the organization. David and his family have lived in the Pasadena community for over ten years, and are involved with PolyTechnic School and the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, along with other local organizations.

Doug Huberman is the co-founder of the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Pasadena and has been instrumental in developing original and ongoing business plans. Doug and his family live in Pasadena, and his business, RVM Associates is a prominent Pasadena property management and development corporation. The primary focus of RVM's development activities is the renovation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

Elizabeth Levitt Hirsch, vice president of the Mortimer Levitt Foundation, is responsible for creating the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Pasadena. Since 2002, Elizabeth has been instrumental in raising funds, creating a business plan, demonstrating an active presence with local government officials and arts organizers, and working on all board committees, to ensure the success of the Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena. She travels throughout the country to music conferences to bring the message of the Old Pasadena Levitt Pavilion to national recognition. Elizabeth has a lifelong history of charity work, serving on numerous nonprofit boards that foster arts appreciation.

Barry Hensiek has been on the Levitt Board since 2002. He has donated his time and services as the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Pasadena's chief accountant. Mr. Hensiek served as board president for the '05-'06 fiscal year. He is a lifetime Pasadena resident, and has practiced public accounting in Pasadena for over 20 years.

Christine Adams is the newest member of the Levitt board. She is a federal criminal prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice. A mother of two and stepmother of three, she has been involved with a number of children's organizations over the years. Currently, Christine also serves on the board of the Women's Care Cottage, which provides housing and services for homeless women and children. She joined the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion in order to work with our Levitt Loves Kids, Levitt in the Schools, and Children's Night programs.

Evelyne Angeles joined the Levitt Pavilion board in 2005. She was the 2007 Levitt Pavilion gala co-chair and is the principal of EMA Consultants, a national business consulting firm. Evelyne and her husband, a successful Pasadena attorney, moved their family to Pasadena four years ago and are busy involving themselves in local organizations and supporting their children's education in Pasadena.

Sara Anjargolian joined the Levitt Pavilion's board of directors in the fall of 2007. She is an attorney and currently serves as a policy advisor to Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo and as a liaison to the Armenian community. Sara is also a Fulbright scholar, an accomplished photographer and writer, and is a board member of the Armenian Center for the Arts and the Kanach Foundation (an environmental NGO in Armenia).

Claire Brian has been on the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Pasadena board since 2003. She has been instrumental in creating and developing the "Levitt Loves Kids" Program, which gives talented young performing artists the opportunity to build confidence, perform in front of a live audience, and open for professional artists. Claire and her husband, Brad Brian, have raised their children in the Pasadena community, and continue to be benefactors of arts organizations, specifically those that encourage youth participation in the performing arts.

Joanna Bruno was selected from the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Pasadena's advisory board to join the board of directors in 2005. Joanna Bruno and her family are lifelong residents of the San Gabriel Valley. Her expertise has made her a valuable asset to many financial institutions and advisory boards, and she has supported women's financial incentives within small business administration organizations. Day to day, Joanna advises financial intuitions on how to provide business services to diverse communities.

Stephanie J. Ferguson joined the Levitt Pavilion's board of directors in the fall of 2007 after being a dedicated member of the 2007 gala committee. She assisted in collecting auction items and connecting with prospective sponsors to make the gala the most successful yet! Stephanie is an attorney, and is also involved with the Ann Arbor Tenants Union, and the Center for Empowerment and Economic Development.

Nic Fetter joined the Levitt Pavilion's board of directors in the fall of 2007. He is a development associate and property manager for Samuelson and Fetter, based in the San Gabriel Valley. Nic is a Pasadena resident and a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Jan Harrington joined the Levitt Pavilion's board of directors in the fall of 2007 after being a supporter and volunteer since the Levitt's inception. She is the owner of the Pasadena based company Jan and Company Construction, and works with the City of Pasadena to provide construction for Affordable Housing. Jan is on the Women of Pasadena board, mentors for Women at Work, and is a volunteer for the Pasadena Historical Society.

Luis Martinez joined the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Pasadena's board in 2006. He was the 2007 gala co-chair, and has been a generous donor to the Levitt Pavilion in the last two years. Luis owns L.A. Resturant Management, which operates two successful King Taco Restaurants in Pasadena and Pico Rivera. Luis has a history of serving on boards that advance community needs.

Gene Masuda joined the Levitt Pavilion's board of directors in the fall of 2007. He is the former President and CEO of the Pacifico Employment Agency Corporation in Los Angeles. Gene lives in Pasadena with his family, and is the President of the Eaton Blanche Park Neighborhood Association. He is also an appointed Commissioner to the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer Affairs Advisory Commission by Supervisor Michael Antonovich, a member of the Pasadena Open Space Preservation and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

Ralph McKnight began his service to the board in 2003. As content committee chairman, Mr. McKnight annually selects dozens of top musicians to perform at the Levitt Pavilion. He is a community activist, involved in local politics, and has been involved with countless projects serving the Pasadena community. Ralph and his wife Kitty, have lived in Pasadena for over twenty years, both serving on boards that advance the status of the minority community. Ralph has been recognized by the community for spreading the message of equality and diversity, and has been given the title of honorary elder by the Gabrielleno Native American Tribe.

Yolanda Oliver joined the Levitt Pavilion's board of directors in the fall of 2007. She worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena for almost thirty years, specializing in information systems engineering and earth science data systems. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and the Los Angeles Council of Black Professional Engineers, and has recieved three NASA Group Achievement awards. Yolanda is currently co-owner and Vice President of Oliver & Associates, a Land Planning and Residential Development Company based in Pasadena

Floraline Stevens joined the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Pasadena's board in 2004. Floraline has national recognition for her prominence in educational testing. Her current focus relates to the effects of standardized testing on minority students. Floraline and her family are lifetime residents of Pasadena, and she is quite active in local charities that promote diversity.

Jennie Wong Weinberger joined the Levitt Pavilion board in the fall of 2007, after being a longtime supporter of the organization. She is a member of Women of Pasadena, the Association for Corporate Growth, and the Cedar Sinai Medical Center Women’s Guild. Jennie and her family live in Pasadena and have attended many events at the Levitt.


This year's gala, A Night in Buenos Aires, was our most successful yet, raising over $120,000 for the Levitt Pavilion's 2008 free concert series.
