Executive Director

CJ Whitcomb, Esq. was originally a Board member for The Friends of the Levitt Pavilion when she was asked to step in as Interim Executive Director for the opening season. CJ agreed to stay on as Executive Director after the 2003 season. She has served on various boards in the Pasadena community. Prior to joining the Levitt, CJ enjoyed a career in education and school administration followed by 10 years practicing law. CJ and her husband, David, are proud to be part of the Friends of the Levitt-Pasadena and spend a majority of their time in the Pasadena community. Both CJ and David share a passion for the performing arts and believe that the arts build and sustain communities. Their daughter, Laura Whitcomb, is a successful fashion designer and owner of Label, NYC.

Director of Development

Amanda Navar came to the Levitt staff after 12 years as a fundraiser in the nonprofit sector. A graduate of Stanford University, she has raised over $10 million for charity and arts organizations throughout California and Texas during her career. A dancer since childhood, Amanda toured internationally as a soloist with Ballet El Paso before relocating to California and now performs flamenco and Mexican folk dance frequently throughout the Los Angeles area. Her husband, Paco Farias, is a film director and editor. As a trained thespian, he shares her deep passion for the arts. Together, they are committed to supporting the work of local artists whenever possible. Paco and Amanda have a new baby girl, Sofia Rose.

Event Production Manager

Eddie Cota joined the Levitt as the Event Production Manager at the beginning of 2008. Originally from San Diego, he moved to Los Angeles when transferring to California State University at Northridge, where he received his bachelor's degree in Journalism. His music industry experience includes major record labels and radio stations in Los Angeles. Working in radio, Eddie has been part of many large concert productions and has also teamed with concert promoters in bringing major artists to various Los Angeles venues.

This year's gala, A Night in Buenos Aires, was our most successful yet, raising over $120,000 for the Levitt Pavilion's 2008 free concert series.
