![]() The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA is an independent, donor-supported, non-profit agency that provides animal care for abandoned and homeless animals. An open door agency, PHS welcomes and cares for all animals in its service area regardless of age, medical condition, breed or any other criteria. The Society is responsible for animal control and welfare for seven area cities that include La Canada-Flintridge, San Marino, Sierra Madre and Arcadia, Glendale, Pasadena and South Pasadena. We also license dogs for the cities of La Canada and Arcadia.
![]() We are happy to have the Red Cross at the park this summer. They will be providing preparedness education for children at some of our childen’s nights and and distributing information to our patrons at our all-ages events! Preparedness Education When we aren’t responding to disasters, we are helping people get ready for them. During disasters, vital resources will likely be unavailable, so preparing ahead of time allows you to minimize the effects of disasters and speed up the recovery process. The Red Cross Los Angeles Region has developed a variety of materials to educate the public about how to stay safe and prepare. ![]() Young & Healthy is a health care program that provides free medical, dental, psychological and case-management services to low-income, uninsured children in the Pasadena Schools, day care centers and homeless shelters in the greater Pasadena community. Health services are provided by volunteer physicians, dentists, therapists, optometrists and other health care professionals. Young & Healthy is based on the conviction that it is the right of every child to have access to quality health care regardless of income levels and that early health care is an investment in the future of the community. Young & Healthy is now located on the Muir HS campus in Pasadena.
![]() The Lemonade Brigade is the Youth Leadership Group’s teen-run, homemade lemonade business. The youth are taking their business to a whole different level, catering events such as the Mayor's State of the City Address, the City of Pasadena’s pre-and-post parade events, the Levitt Pavilion's Free Summer Concert Series and most recently, the West Pasadena Little League Games. Youth are gaining leadership, organizational, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial skills through the Lemonade Brigade. The proceeds are applied towards scholarships for the seniors and college field trips, sending home the message that through volunteerism and hard work they can begin to invest in a successful future today. ![]() Lineage Dance is a contemporary dance company dedicated to raising support and awareness for nonprofit organizations and to making the arts accessible to audiences of all demographic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our mission is multi-faceted. Lineage Dance is known throughout the community for artistic excellence as well as giving back through dance. We seek at all times to support our community through dance, by partnering with, and raising awareness of, the service work of many diverse organizations. One of the most important components of our mission is to make the arts accessible to people of all socioeconomic and demographic backgrounds. We seek to make the art of dance accessible for people of all ages, all ethnicities and all circumstances. In the process, we empower our communities through the shared language of dance, build dance audiences and create a new generation of dance-lovers. We feel proud of this unique formula that has created opportunity for Lineage Dance across the country since 1999.

![]() Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center is a 50 year-old non-profit agency that serves parents who want a better future for their young children, but are isolated by poverty, lack of education, language barriers and inadequate social support. Out FREE programs increase the school-readiness of children ages 0-5 who are at-risk for failure in school; and increase the overall capacity of parents to support their children’s education, as well as their own personal development. Our two generation learning model is a proven way to help families break the cycle of poverty because when you increase the education level of a mother, you significantly increase a child’s future educational success. ![]() ![]() The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is committed to protecting the health and well-being of Los Angeles County communities. That’s why we launched a multi-media public education campaign called “Stay Healthy. Vaccinate.” This campaign urges parents and caretakers to get their loved ones vaccinated against serious diseases like whooping cough and the flu. The campaign includes print, TV and radio spots, and provides opportunities to interact and access information through a new VaccinateLA website, Facebook, YouTube page and Twitter handle. ![]() Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles, a member of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, formed in the fall of 2009. The Rock n’ Roll Camp experience is designed to mentor girls in music and self-expression, while boosting self-esteem and instilling a sense of self-empowerment. Girls learn to work together to accomplish goals in a supportive, non-competitive environment. With guidance from adult females, girls have a week to write an original song and perform it live – with bandmates they’ve just met at camp. Girls choose an instrument to learn (guitar, bass, drums, keys) and participate in daily instruction, rehearsals and songwriting. Workshops also take place, such as: positive body image, self defense, screen-printing, recording and zine-making. All workshops are meant to feed creativity, self-confidence, collaboration and expression. During the lunch hour, inspirational female musicians are invited to perform live for the girls and participate in a discussion. At the end of the week, all camper bands perform their original song at the big showcase event, held at a music venue in L.A. Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles is an activity of Community Partners, a nonprofit charity exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. ![]() The San Gabriel Mountains Forever (SGMF) campaign is presently working on twin goals to 1) Expand wilderness and wild and scenic river designations in the San Gabriel Mountains. 2) Establish a new San Gabriel Mountains National Recreation Area (SGMNRA). Prader-Willi California Foundation is dedicated to providing education, support and advocacy services to families raising a child or an adult with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). PWS is a rare, complex medical disorder that causes many symptoms including weak muscles, growth and metabolism problems, cognitive deficits and learning disabilities, behavior problems, and an insatiable appetite that can lead to morbid obesity and premature death. Persons with PWS need 24/7 care for the entirety of their lives. PWS is so rare that most parents, teachers, and health professionals have little, if any, knowledge about the syndrome and how to manage it. PWCF is the ONLY organization in California dedicated solely to providing families with empowering medical knowledge, comforting support and advocacy, and encouragement to help their child lead the happiest, healthiest life possible, and hope for the future. PWCF is here to help. ![]() Ideal Youth Incorporated, is a non profit 501 (c) 3 Pasadena based organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through experimental, hands-on advanced job training. Our purpose is to create dynamic workers, thinkers and leaders through hands on training to youth, who have graduated from existing youth programs and are transitioning into the modern work force. Our program will help steer young adults towards meaningful careers and gain valuable work experience to transition them into the permanent workforce.

United Nations Association- Pasadena/Foothill Chapter ![]() The United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) is a national organization dedicated to strengthening the U.N. system and to enhancing U.S. participation in that system. UNA-USA carries out its action agenda through a unique combination of public outreach, policy analysis, and international dialog. UNA-USA provides information and educational services on the work of the United Nations and on other global issues for students, scholars, Congress, business leaders, and media. Each year it coordinates the observance of U.N. Day (October 24) commemorating the establishment of the United Nations in 1945. The United Nations Association (UNA) Pasadena/Foothills Chapter is dedicated to fostering these goals on a local level.
We provide positive educational outreach on the history and culture of Latinos while working in collaboration with other groups in the area. People come together and reflect the diversity that is Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.
Founded in 2004 by actress Rosario Dawson and political analyst Maria Teresa Kumar, Voto Latino is shaking-up America’s political establishment by bringing thousands of young Latinos into the political process. A non-partisan, nonprofit civic engagement organization, Voto Latino has produced award-winning, multiple-media campaigns headlined by celebrity voices that encourage young Latinos to register, vote and get engaged. Voto Latino strongly believes it is this new generation of young American Latinos who will help shape America’s democracy.

Visart - the Society For Advancement Of Visual And Performing Arts is the brainchild of producer/director Shadow Mihai and director/actor/composer Carrie Cain Sparks. Visart is a California Public Benefit Society, incorporated as a 501(c)(3) charity. Visart has a mandate to promote the visual and performing arts by (1) creating and providing an arts-based education curriculum for use to the nation's schools and the public, and (2) undertaking productions of classic, important and new works of theatre, visual and performing arts for display and public performance. ![]()

Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Established in 1905 the AGBU’s mission is to preserve and promote the Armenian identity and heritage through educational, cultural and humanitarian programs.
Generation Next Mentorship Program ![]() The primary goal of the AGBU Generation Next Mentorship Program is to assist Southern California youth of Armenian descent by providing them with positive role models, guidance and support. Through one-on-one mentoring, monthly group activities and parenting seminars, the program has assisted and supported Armenian students who are faced with difficult choices in today's often tense school environment. Vatche & Tamar Manoukian High School ![]() The mission of AGBU Vatche & Tamar Manoukian High School is to cultivate the potential of every student in a safe and nurturing environment, maintaining high expectations and promoting academic excellence for all students. During the four years of high school education, students are prepared to become active participants in our democratic and pluralistic society, while developing their ethnic identity and knowledge base in the rich Armenian cultural heritage.

Pasadena Sister City Committee ![]() It is an official committee of the City of Pasadena. Most of the organization's programs are financed through fund raising efforts of the membership. Such funds are used to help entertain foreign visitors, to arrange cultural exchanges, and, most importantly, to benefit the student exchange programs. The volunteer members have helped set a pace for the future by globally linking Pasadena with lasting friendships with our sister cities. This cross-cultural linking enriches each city with cultural, social, and economic benefits
