Levitt Loves Kids 2008 “Best Of The Best” Audition Information And Rules

The Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena founded its Levitt Loves Kids program in 2005, with the goal of providing young performing artists the opportunity to share their talents with the community and receive professional stage experience in front of a live, receptive audience. Levitt Loves Kids participants audition for a 10-20 minute performance slot during our summer concert series, opening for a professional, touring group.

The auditions will be judged by a panel of Levitt Pavilion board members and staff. The judges will select twenty young performers to take part in our summer concert series which runs June 25th - August 31st.

All students auditioning must currently be enrolled in a public or private school in Los Angeles County or must be a resident of Los Angeles County. Auditions are open only to students age 18 and younger.

Please check back for audition dates and times, which will be held at The Pasadena Senior Center Auditorium (85 E. Holly St., Pasadena, 91103). Upon receiving your application, a representative of the Levitt Pavilion will be in contact with you to schedule your audition time.

Audition pieces should not exceed seven minutes in length. If you choose to audition with more than one selection, their combined time must not exceed seven minutes. You must audition with the selection(s) you designate in your application.

A CD player and a keyboard or piano will be available for accompaniments to auditioning students. Students are responsible for bringing their own music, accompanist, and any instruments and equipment they require.

In addition to the application, there are three ways to audition. Please choose one of the following:

1) Email an internet link of a video performance (youtube, myspace, etc.) to info@levittpavilionpasadena.org. Please place "LLK Auditions 2008" in the subject    line.

2) Mail an audio cd and/or video of performance to:

3) Call the Levitt Pavilion at (626) 683-3230 and sign up to audition at the Pasadena Senior Center on April 19th between 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., or on April 26th between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applications must be received by the Levitt Pavilion office no later than Friday, April 18th.
